Couch’s Sunshower Tour Part 2 Dazzles at Fete Music Hall

A Night of Soulful Vibes and Unforgettable Energy in Providence, RI

On April 13th, something truly special happened at Fete Music Hall in Providence: Couch returned to the stage and absolutely blew the crowd away. This was my second time witnessing the magnetic magic that is Couch live, and once again, they delivered a performance bursting with joyful energy, groove, and soul.

From the moment they took the stage, it was clear that Couch is more than just a band—they’re an experience. Their funky and soulful sound makes it nearly impossible to stand still; it’s the kind of music that sweeps you up and encourages you to dance the night away alongside the band. Every member radiates passion and dedication, pouring their heart into each song, and that infectious energy spreads throughout the entire room.

What sets Couch apart is their ability to sprinkle jazz, pop, funk, and soul into a seamless blend—a musical palette that feels simultaneously nostalgic and refreshingly modern. Their sound recalls the colorful feel-good vibes of old-school classics, but with a contemporary twist that keeps things fresh and exciting.

The setlist was a perfect showcase of their talents, featuring beloved original tunes like “Easy To Love” and “I’m Still Feeling You”—tracks that highlight both their musicianship and songwriting prowess. Alongside these, they treated us to some classic covers, including a heartfelt rendition of Billy Joel’s “Vienna” and a joyous take on “Conjunction Junction,” which had the whole audience singing along. A special highlight of the night came when Couch invited their opening act, Sophia James, back to the stage for a spirited cover of CCR’s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain.” The chemistry and camaraderie between the artists made the performance feel like a true celebration.

The energy in the room was sky-high from start to finish. Even after the encore concluded, chants of “one more song!” filled the venue, a testament to just how much the crowd didn’t want the night to end. It’s clear that Couch has cultivated a devoted following, and their ability to connect with audiences is undeniable.

Though they hail from Boston, Couch is quickly making waves beyond their hometown scene. After playing major festivals like Boston Calling and the Levitate Music Festival last year, it was a unique thrill to catch them in a more intimate setting at Fete Music Hall. No matter the size of the venue, Couch brings the same infectious enthusiasm and impeccable musicianship every single time.

In short, Couch is a live act you don’t want to miss. Their Sunshower Tour Part 2 is a testament to just how much fun live music can be—so if you get the chance, make sure to check them out. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer, you’ll leave the show with a smile on your face, a groove in your step, and a newfound love for what Couch brings to the stage.
